Arsenal defeated the Liverpool FC, Everton FC and Tottenham Hostpur FC showing their ability despite the absence of Jens Lehmann, Thierry Henry and William Gallas.

Against the Chelsea, Theo Walcott scored in the first half, but Chelsea doubled the performance, winning the match. Wenger assures that his team is aggressive and positive but they have to learn how to keep the control over the game.

Arsenal and Chelsea were expected to be in the top 4 and to qualify in the next season of the UEFA Champions League; the loss was not a good consequence for Arsenal.

After the defeat the team still has hopes and Wenger has no doubts the team can do it better in the future, but anyway they lost the trophy and the positivism they have doesn't mean they are not aware they have lost something really important, something that they really wanted.

On the other hand, Chelsea is in a good position regarding the FA Cup and the UEFA competitions; they are now 9 points adrift of Manchester in the way for the Premiership title.
