This is a wonderful place where you can go to view and explore all sorts of amazing exhibits. There is even a great museum shop on the premises where you can buy items such as books, jewelry and much more. Another of the more famous attractions that you can visit in Carlsbad is definitely the Pecos River Flume. You and your charter bus pals can find this interesting stop on Westridge Drive right off of Callaway Drive. This is an interesting aqueduct that is used to carry water from Lake Avalon across the Pecos River. Years and years ago, this flume was built from wood, but was replaced back in the early 1900s by a concrete structure.
