Cesarean Vs Natural Birth
Anna Stenning
The differences in using natural cleaning products and normal chemical based products is that one is made from things commonly associated with food and cooking; the other is produced and manufactured by a specialised company using substances strong enough to clean surfaces and gentle enough to keep the skin protected. More often than none, people opt towards buying the normal chemical based products; brands such as Cif, Mr Muscle and Flash are a common household name.
However, some people are allergic to the standard cleaning products available on the high street, hence the need for more natural products which do not cause adverse skin reactions. The three most readily available natural products are that of one's which can be found in your very own kitchen such as baking soda, vinegar and lemon. Of course these will need to be used sparingly so as to avoid any unusual smells.
When using things like vinegar, one will find that the results are indeed impressive; however, there lingers a distinct smell resembling your local chip shop! In this case you will just need to wash that area with warm or hot water just to weaken the smell. Nonetheless the smell lingers only for a short period and does not affect someone's health. The results do not last as long as one may wish as it does not detract dust or general dirt. This is potent and powerful enough to remove grease, finger marks and smudge marks.
Normal cleaning products often have a special formula to keep surfaces (especially glass) clean for a longer period and takes a small amount of time to clean. Sometimes these will provide specific instructions on the best way to clean certain surfaces and all of the standard products tend to have warning labels (precautionary instructions on the safest way of using the products). For polishing surfaces the best formulas are that of a concentrated form and only require a small amount.
This does require much more elbow grease as the idea is to polish off any amount of grease and dirt build up, making the furniture shine again. However natural solutions can be in the form of olive oil, soap, grapefruit seed extract and water. This may not be as effective at polishing furniture as standard furniture polish, as the results can cause staining if the mixture is not smooth and even. Normal polish will not stain and is simpler to apply.
The general attitude towards buying the right cleaning products depends on the individual and whether they are able to withstand normal products. Natural products are good for people, who are considering the environmental impacts of standard chemical products, are affected by the substances used or generally prefer natural based products. Standard chemical based products are more widely available; they last longer and are an easier way of cleaning. As long as these cleaning solutions are used carefully and diluted in water they are quite safe to use on a daily basis.
