Albuquerque is a great place that is home to many popular destinations for tourists. One such place is the National Atomic Museum. It is aan attraction that you should definitely consider adding to your must see list. If you would like to learn more about this popular location, keep reading this article.
The National Atomic Museum, soon to be called the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History, is a museum of nuclear science and history that is the only museum of its kind chartered by Congress. It was founded in 1969 and tells the story of how the Atomic Age came to be. It will take you through the incredible history of nuclear science starting with early research and going through modern uses of nuclear science. It does this by taking you through a number of different exhibits. For example there is the "Pioneers of Science" exhibit in which you can learn about early researchers like Einstein, Lisa Meitner and Marie Curie. There is also the "Seeing is Healing" exhibit. Here you learn about the medical uses of nuclear science, its not all about destruction, and how our health is improved through nuclear research. Another exhibit is Waging Peace. This one shows you the history of arms control and how we have tries to make this world a more peaceful place. Besides these there are a number of other fascinating exhibits for you to see, learn from and explore. The museum will show you how important nuclear science has been to us and how important it will continue to be to us. If you will be in the Albuquerque area you should be sure to check it out.
