Classic guitar strings are generally made up with different tensions so that user finds it easy to tune it correctly. The range is from low, moderate or light, medium or normal to hard or high tension. Although there are other type of tensions but these are the primary ones.

One of the primary concerns for the guitarists is to consider the gauge of strings. Without good quality gauge changing guitar strings is not of much use. Herein comes the personal preference but still for beginners a simple guideline can be to use medium gauge strings, and those, which is better, tunable and sounds soothing to ears. It will, however, change along with the growth of the guitarist.
