GCSE exam is known as the General Certificate of Secondary Exam. In Northern Ireland, England and Wales, students who are aged between 14 and 16 can opt for GCSE exams. They can choose a number of subjects, and then based on their academic performance, the GCSE award has been given to them. In some other countries, you can find different options available for GCSE; and also the age limit is not static in all the countries. But there are different levels for this GCSE exam. And, students who want to pursue A-level; GCSE is a must for them.
GCSE is not compulsory for the students. It depends on the students whether they want to opt for GCSE or not. There are many subjects included in the exam. Mathematics, English, Science, Physical education and religious education is included in the GCSE course. There are many students who get confused with the whole curriculum, and end up in trouble. There are different gradations in GCSE like A, B, C, D, E, F. They are the grades from higher to lower.
