It is always incredible to see the Vermont foliage since the warm temperatures stay up through September and well into October. Most of the years around Columbus Day Weekend the Vermont foliage color change accelerated and the pace continue throughout most of the season, giving the visitors a spectacular array of bright reds, yellows and oranges across the state. Small areas of season colors can still be found in lower elevations all around the state, especially near Lake Champlain and in the lower portion of the Lake Champlain Basin and also along the Connecticut River along the Eastern side of Vermont.
The Vermont foliage is of course in the fall season and autumn in Vermont has a lot of things it can offer its visitors. The season of the Vermont foliage means a lot of celebrations for everyone to enjoy, including apple festivals, chicken pie suppers and craft fairs in addition to all of the normal attractions for which Vermont is famous. The landscape is beautiful and as people make their way around Vermont on their favorite foliage routes they are once again reminded what a beautiful, unspoiled and special place Vermont is.
Usually the trails that you choose when it comes to admiring the Vermont foliage are littered with tan and yellow leaves that crunch underfoot. The fall season is a wonderful time to experience nature and fall foliage up close and personal. Once you see it you will want to come here every year and the numerous people that come here every year are a proof of that.
