Based in Seattle, Washington -- the Seahawks are a professional football team that was established back in 1976; just like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers they started out as an expansion team, from 1977 to 2001 they played under the American football conference West division and from 1976 until today they have been part of the national football conference West division. Their current home field is the Qwest Field, the team owner is Paul Allen, the general manager is Tim Ruskell and the head coach is Mike Holmgren.

Despite the fact that the Seahawks can be considered as a new team they have had several compliments which are worth mentioning, they had a successful participation in the 2005 NFC championship and have also won six division championships, to ponder the American football conference West division and four with the NFC West division. The years they have a successful participation with the AFC West were 1988 and 1999, and with the NFC West they had great participations in recent years (2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007)

As everyone was able to see during the Chicago game, the Seahawks have a lot to offer and their potential is amazing, at some times during the game things didn't look so good for them because the Chicago Bears were ahead of them in the scoreboard but later on with an amazing collective effort they were able to catch up and take the game to overtime when they finally were able to over come the Bears 29 to 26.

The game against the Bears is only a sneak peek of what up ahead when it comes to the Seahawks. The 2008 season is expected to have many surprises just like the one we saw quite recently, if you are Seattle Seahawks fan you better secure those tickets as they are going to be hot, just like a team.
