In order to protect yourself from further infections and more problems caused by wounds you need to clean them properly and protect them from dust and dirt. In some cases, water is also a major problem. There are several wound care products in market, which are helpful in protection of wounds. That includes Adhesive Strips, Band-Aids, Tape Closures, Pads and Adherent Wraps etc. These products are helpful in effective care of wounds. For minor wounds, you can do basic treatment at home, but for major ones you need to consult doctor. They are the best person to do primary treatment as well as to provide you with the best medicines to cure your wounds.

Primary Treatment

Primary Treatment of wounds is important else, they can be become more dangerous. Well, primary treatment process of different wounds are different, it depends upon the type of wounds.

You cannot treat all wounds in same way. Some wounds need covered dressings whereas some needs uncovered dressing. Both needs to be taken care accordingly. In case of heavy drainage from wounds, you need to use Absorptive Dressings. They are designed primarily to absorb secretion from wounds.

For normal cuts, caused while working in Kitchen or garden only band-aids are enough with some anti-septic cream. For severe cuts or wounds causing excess bleeding, you need to take extra care. For severe wounds, it is better to consult expert orthopedic surgeons or an experienced nurse.
