Many families are loosing their homes to foreclosure and not able to take their family pets with them. There has been an increase in the number of pets found running loose on the streets. Some families are finding it hard to work through the bad times and find a suitable place offering pets a place to live with them. The amount of families facing this problem is growing in number.
Local shelters have also seen a larger rise in the number of animals they are taking in because of the Arizona foreclosure homes issue. Families who would love to keep them are now finding they either can not afford to keep them or have to move to a place that will not allow them a pet. Some of the homeowners are actually leaving the animals behind at the home when they move out expecting them to fend for themselves. Many neighbors are pitching in to help take care of abandoned animals. These homeowners who are abandoning their animals must not realize there is a misdemeanor in the state for these actions and they can end up paying thousands of dollars or spend some time in jail.
Instead of those facing foreclosure homes in Arizona leaving their precious pets behind, it is possible to find a home for them through the Humane Society of the United States. This organization is not a part of the Humane Society of Arizona. They are offering a fund towards helping those pets of foreclosure homes and whatever they need for care.
