Now that you have decided to get involved in the social networking game you need to know the rules before you foul out and get sidelined before you get started. You won't make money on MySpace or any other social networking site until you thoroughly understand some fundamental guidelines.
I'll give you three quick tools that will make sure your not wasting too much time socializing but you are pumping up the ole' bank account as well.
The need to use software or friend management tool is absolutely essential in my opinion. Often you will lose track of time by doing everything manually which will result in frustration and eventually you will quit. By using a friend adder software you will be much more productive and you can do in one hour what it may normally take several hours to do.
Target your market from the start. Research who will be more likely to have an interest in your product or service. Once you determine this niche market then start adding friends to your profile that have these interests. This is where a friend adder software really comes in handy.
Do not get caught up in the minutia of social marketing or you will find yourself wasting a lot of time. If you decide that you want to do more socializing than marketing then set up a new account for that and set a time for those activities. If you have a product or service that you want to offer that is unrelated to your target market, I recommend setting up another profile for that product or service.
Stay on message. If you are promoting dog supplies on MySpace then it is okay to introduce cat supplies or other general pet supplies. On the other hand, your audience will not be expecting you to start promoting financial services and thus you will lose credibility. Again, open another account if you want to promote products or services in a completely different niche.
While building individual relationships, use the bulletins, groups, forums and comments to subtly expose your product or service to the community. Only use the messages t communicate with people on a personal level until you feel you have built a strong enough rapport to present your offer.
By using these five strategies and by treating others in the community the way you would like to be treated you will build many strong business relationships and make tons on money on MySpace and any other social networking site.
