Now that you have started your own home business you will need to find a way to reel in those prospects. One of the best ways to do this is to create a special page for your clients to start the viewing process of your business. This initial page that you will send them to is called a capture page.
This first page is also know as a landing page. Of course it's called a landing page because after clicking your link they will land on that page. It is also known as a capture page with a simple form to fill in to get more information on your business.
You could also consider this first page as a teaser because they are going to have to fill in some simple information in order to find out the entire picture of what you are offering. But what is the purpose of having your prospects do this? Why not just show them everything right up front?
The reason for this is so you will have their contact information before you allow them access to your site. This will serve two main purposes. The first is so you can contact them to give them any information they might want and answer their questions about your business.
It's great for them to be able to speak with a live person and will raise their confidence level in your business. Especially for new people showing them that your business is not a lifeless one. Human contact is very important to home business.
It's important to get their contact information from your capture page so you can send them periodic e-mails about your business so they will continue thinking about your business. You can easily do this by setting up auto responders. Auto responders are a service that will automatically send e-mails to your prospects once it has been linked to your site.
How many they receive and how often they get them is up to you. The reason for doing this is because not everyone will join your business right away. People will think about it for a while and while they do they will continue to get your messages about your business.
