Yes, there is people advertising, and claiming, that it is very easy and quick, but how good can the articles be if you churn out 50 a day? Writing a good quality article takes time. And this is maybe the biggest secret: in the long run good articles will improve your web presence more than a lot of quick, badly written ones. Each Online Directory has its own criteria for judging an article before publishing it. Some people write articles and make use of special software to publish their articles to thousands of publishers. I found that submitting to about 5 or 6 high quality online directories is worth far more in the long run. This is probably one of the best ways to build good, solid traffic to your site.

Add Signatures to your Email.

This is so easy it is almost laughable. How many emails do you send out daily? Why not add a short signature to every email you sent out? That way you reach a lot of people easily. This will probably not give you millions of visitors, but still every visitor is good. Just be careful before adding this to the email account of the company you work for… it can land you in hot water. But use your personal email account freely and regularly. If you are able to add your info and link in HTML format the person can simply click the link to reach your website, making things much easier.

Post at forums

Some forums allow you to add URL links in your profile. This is a very good way to place your website out there. Just make sure that the forum's rules allow this since you can be banned on certain forums. Do not post just to advertise though. If your posts are good you will gain the trust of other members on the forum, which will really improve the chances that people will follow your link. So join some forums and get posting.
