On the face of it things seem a certain way. Special interest groups have a vested interest in the status quo and therefore do everything they can to maintain this position. There is some credence to this argument.

The natural scientist Wilhem Reich had his work attacked by various people in numerous social bodies. Due to the nature of his work (psychoanalyst) he gained insights into this social malaise.

What is character?

When the Ego - part of person exposed to danger becomes rigid when continually subjected to similar conflicts between need and fear inducing outer world. It acquires in this process a chronic, automatically functioning mode of behavior i.e. its character.

The character serves as a means of avoiding what is unpleasant, preserving a psychic balance and of consuming repressed quantities of instinctual energy or quantities which have eluded repression.

There are different characters. The two main types are what he termed the 'neurotic' and the genital. The genital is healthy the neurotic is biopathic. The genital is functional, i.e. capable of adapting. He is not mechanistic or mystical. His rational thinking is open to objective arguments, in short his thinking orients itself on objective facts and processes. He represents that which is natural and in the flow.

The neurotic character attempts to orient himself in objective facts and processes. His rational thinking is interfused with and affected by chronic sexual stasis which leads him to avoid unpleasure. This leads to irrationality. There is avoidance of core issues, important relations and connections are overlooked. An example is that it is quite obvious that politics is ruinous and that humanity is sick in the psychiatric sense of the word, and yet they don't see the connection between this and the demand for a viable democratic order.

The neurotic agrees in principal to certain ideals but fears the practical realization of them. His character armor forbids a change in the life pattern that has become rigid. The neurotics often oppose what they agree with. Reich makes note of a third type of character which he cites as being afflicted with the 'emotional plague.' He is distinguished from the neurotic character by a more or less life-destructive social activity. His thinking is completely muddled by irrational concepts and governed exclusively by irrational emotions.

In the neurotic, thinking and action do not coincide whereas with the 'plague afflicted' character it does. His thinking confirms and rationalizes a predetermined irrational conclusion i.e. prejudice. People fail to notice the widespread detrimental social effects of this. His thinking is universally disseminated and characterizes just about everything called 'tradition'. It is intolerant and won't countenance rational thinking. Plague thinking is not accessible to argument. In the individual afflicted with the plague the ostensible motives never tally with the real motives.

The genital character is determined by basic natural laws of biological energy. He has good contact with healthy children, enjoys work springing from the heart and is able to have a loving relationship. The plague character on the other hand demand asceticism in a sadistic way against the natural sexuality of others. The most obvious example of this are the so called 'honour killings' in certain muslim communities or the bitter spinster who makes young girls life miserable. The plague character is incapable of work as he shuns the necessary step by step, persistent organic development inherent in every work process. He becomes an ideologue, mystic , politician or idle vagrant.

The acts of the healthy individual flow directly from the reservoir of biological energy. The acts of the plague afflicted character stem from the same place but have to break through the character and muscular armor and in so doing the acts become distorted and therefore irrational. The armor thwarts a smooth and organic unfolding of the impulse. The act now becomes a direct reflection of the destructiveness which had to be brought into play in the process of the breaking through the armor.

In essence the individual afflicted with the plague is characterized by the contradiction between an intense desire for life and the inability (armor) to achieve the corresponding fulfillment of life. This often leads to the murder of women as it is in love making that this inability to fulfill oneself is most intensely felt.

Whereas psychiatry recognizes the schizophrenic it fails to notice that many so called ordinary people are deeply sick. If plague affliction wasn't normal the likes of Hitler wouldn't have come to power.) The endemic nature of biopathic character structures within society leads to a blind spot and hence it is seen as normal.

When fundamental needs of children are thwarted it really damages them and this is expressed as certain types of behaviour i.e. not wanting to share and cruelty to insects. The institutions in play now were set up by armored life and perpetuate the same. Thinking is the 6th sense. It is as intrinsic to us as sight. There are many different intensities and various forms of this malaise. One has the hysterical, the compulsive, the masochist, the sadist etc.

One of the key symptoms is evasion, obfuscation and irrational hate. The reason this article is written is to help us understand that the suppression of Dr.Hamers work is not just a case of protecting huge profits and upholding pseudo reputations. He is coming up against warped thinking which dreads the inherent reponsibilty that the truth entails. These people are disconnected from themselves and therefore those around them.

Any enquiry which probes into the essence of nature as Dr. Hamers does evokes fear and hatred. A Judge demanded that the university of Tubingen look at his work. They refused. As noted above you cannot argue with them. The ideas Hamer discovered, that feelings and thoughts program the physiology frightens them as their life is spent trying to avoid the pain of sexual stasis and the consequent frustration of their yearning for sexual union never being sated.

The mode of life of the genitally healthy person painfully reminds him of his genital weakness and therefore constitutes a threat to his neurotic balance. They think "What I can't have, you can't have." They talk of upholding cultural values, they engage in defamation, back stabbing, sexual innuendo etc. The natural soft expression of life is hated. Jesus was an example of what happens to this natural expression. In contradistinction many individuals in the church are sick hence why peadophilia is so rife in the catholic church. The labour party and the recently exposed secret campaign to smear David Cameron through sexual defamation is another classic example.

The greatest defence for plague afflicted individuals was that for centuries it had not been recognized let alone clearly defined. Now that it has strategies can be developed to combat it. It needs to be challenged head on with the truth.
