City In The Usa
Iceland is depicted as an isle country. It is found in the North Atlantic Ocean below the Arctic Circle. Iceland is also called?Land of Ice and Fire? because of the huge glaciers that is positioned next to geysers, volcanoes and steaming hot springs. The capital of Iceland is Reykjavik and their official language is Icelandic. Their estimated population is about 270,000 as of 1998 and has a density of 2 persons per square meter. Iceland's goods come mainly from processing, agriculture and fishing, these products comprise livestock hay, sheep, cod, herring, aluminum, garments cement and electrical machines. This isle country is regarded as the world's most lively volcano area and has the world's cleanest capital, Europe's largest falls, and the citizens with the longest lives. Iceland is a habitat for more than 50 galleries, museums, symphony orchestra, two full-time theater companies and more than a hundred gourmet eateries.
More than a thousand years since, Iceland was settled mostly by citizens from Norway and by Viking colonies coming from the British Isles. Most settlers had Celtic slaves and come married Celtic citizens. As of today, Icelander's resemble the citizens of Ireland, Northern Norway and Northern Scotland. Young Icelander's in larger towns are clad much like to the other citizens who reside in Western countries. Icelander's love sports specially swimming together with handball, basketball, soccer, skiing and glima which is a type of wrestling.
Nearly all Icelander's go to the state cathedral which is the Lutheran and Evangelical cathedral.
Regarding the Icelander's education, their government requires kids choosing from seven to fifteen years old to go to school except from those who are in sparingly populated parts. kids in rural vicinity ride buses or go to boarding schools. For some remote parts, teachers are the ones wandering from one farm to another and wait for several weeks in the vicinity to teach the kids residing there. After primary and general secondary schools, kids may go in a grammar school for 4 years where they learn 5 foreign languages at the least.
There are only few natural resources that Iceland depends on and about one percent of land can be used for agricultural purposes even though the state's coastal waters is very plentiful in fish. Their sale of fish and other fish products is where Iceland depends. The citizens want cash in order to buy raw materials, fruits, vegetables, appliances and weighty machines from other states. It mostly deals with Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Great Britain and USA. Almost 1/5 of the proletariats in Iceland is employed in fish-processing vegetation or grab fish for a living. The most common fishes caught are cod, capelin, herring and haddock. Fish processing is considered as the most significant business in Iceland. Small-processing vegetation are usually found standing along coasts and other big freezing vegetation as well. Most of the fishes are salted, dried or frozen and ready for export.
