We get nagged for not eating right but this begins to makes sense once you see how the body strives to keep the right balance between acid and alkaline. It would be so much more productive if we would just put the right fuel in the furnace.
We know that eating too much acidic food is a major cause of heartburn. Here's a way to get a personal treatment plan of action going:
1. Start your own spreadsheet of food. The best way to move forward is to have a plan on paper.
Good intentions will succeed if you have a good plan of action.
2. Make a note of all the food you eat and what the effects are. Start by limiting processed foods and colas. Record food eaten, adjustments in diet and results.
3. Look for pH balance. Meats, dairy and grains (acidic) and vegetables and fruits (alkaline) are both important. The balance needs to be more alkaline or at least neutral. Cut back on meat meals.
4. Look to natural heartburn remedies like chamomile tea, papaya, banana and baking soda - for times when things need fixing.
Adjusting your acid/alkaline groove is the best way and most natural way to fix heartburn. This action plan can be your stone tablet. It will succeed if you follow the outline you make, make adjustments to your diet and note the results. If needed, a natural heartburn remedy is always as close as the kitchen cabinet.
