Maybe it was Madonna that started the trend. Other artists have perpetuated the practice of wearing underwear as outer-wear creating a new fashion category known as club wear or dance-wear. Many of the lingerie makers have even begun to jump on the band wagon by creating lingerie items designed to be worn as sexy club wear.

This rather sexy style of dress has allowed more skin to be shown. Many women have now started tattooing the small of the back and club wear allows the tattoo to be displayed.

This trend may have started in the early 90's and has only gained speed over the years. Most men are wanting the trend to continue and I am one of them. Men are visual, and the extra skin is a real turn on.

In the 70's men and women began to up-dress for disco clubs, women in dresses, and men in suits. Disco is dead, however it is refreshing to see women moving to a less casual look and back to a sexy up-scale look. This in turn, forces men to up-dress as well. The additional skin has certainly caught the males attention. They can see women in blue jeans and tank tops all day long. When they enter the club and see women dressing up in club wear, the may need to see a chiropractor for whiplash.

Women have been finding ways to entice men since the beginning of time, and these clothes say, " I know men only want a little left to the imagination". It's true that little should be left to the imagination. If you were to place to images side by side, one of a naked woman, and one of a woman in sexy lingerie, most men are going to pick the lingerie-clad woman as the more provocative image. I think it has to do with the mystery of what the rest will look like. Why do you think Playboy usually features it's models wearing a slinky little something?

It's all about the mystery. A naked woman offers little mystery. A fully clothed woman offers no excitement. While a woman dressed provocatively has the combination of excitement and mystery.
