Calamus oil is extracted from Acorus calamus var. angustatus of the Araceae family.
Calamus oil has a warm, spicy odor, reminiscent of a sweet forest.
It is native to India. The oil is mainly produced in India and Russia and to a lesser extent in Europe.It is extensively used in cosmetic and perfumery work, in woody, oriental, leather perfumes.
