Reorganising Causes Frustration
Gen Wright
But companies reorganize periodically. When that happens, workers have to deal with new managers.
They will have to learn new skills. Often they will be taught by teachers who are younger than they are. Those teachers usually don't have a bond with the company and they don't know much about its history. They have no idea how things used to be. They come fresh from university and think they know it all. They are going to tell you how you should do your work.
Most workers get frustrated by this. In their eyes everything went well. Why everything should be changed? There are a lot of rumours going around. People complain and the atmosphere at the workplace is depressive.
If this is your story:
1 You feel insecure because you have problems learning the new skills.
2. You are stressed and you cry because you're not happy anymore.
3. You feel sorry for your colleagues, you listen to their sorrows. You would like to help them, but you are unable to do so.
What can you do?
1.Say your affirmations. For example: I feel safe at my workplace. I like to learn new skills. I am happy and full of self confidence. Take a half hour and write your own affirmations.
2.Visualise being happy. Sit and relax. Remember a happy time and keep the feeling while you think about your workplace.
3.Take care of yourself. Walk away from negativity.Of course you can even run away from your job if there is a possibility. Problems at work are very stressful and can be a big reason for changes in many people's lives.
4.Take a different look at your situation. Instead of being frustrated you can be convinced that you will grow because of those problems. And you will grow, whether you want it or not!
What will happen if you don't do anything?
1.You get used to the new situation. In most cases people are flexible enough to get used to a new situation. The frustration stops and they are happy again. So there are two other possibilities to stop our frustration:
Accept the situation. This will help you to adept quickly.
The frustration also stops when you act and find a new and fulfilling job.
2.When you don't do anything, you'll become a likely candidate for a burn-out. In this case your frustration will also stop in the end. It may take years but in the end you will have learned new things. Your life will be changed.
The conclusion is: It's your own choice what will happen: your life will change whether you act or not. You will learn new things whether it's your choice or not.
So make your choice and I wish you a lot of success.
