Teleseminar Secrets ? Why Are Teleseminars So Powerful?

Teleseminars are used repeatedly by internet sales people and marketers because of their incredible ability to convert listeners into buyers. Many times, depending on the price of the product and the quality of the listeners, conversion rates can go as high as 50%, although 20-30% is more commonplace.
Yet, that is still a quite high percentage of listeners who take a desired action ? normally a sale. And many marketers use teleseminars to generate leads to make much higher ticket sales over the phone one on one.
So the big question here is: why are teleseminars so powerful? Why are they so effective at increasing conversion rates, and at generating sales and/or leads?
There are several reasons why teleseminars are so powerful and effective at generating action by the attendees.
One of the biggest reasons is that a teleseminar is a screening device, especially when you require listeners to make a long distance call themselves rather than give them an 800 number or allow them to listen via web streaming.
This screening device effectively eliminates all tire kickers who are unwilling to spend any money at all to learn from you (if someone is unwilling to pay the long distance on a telecall is he or she going to be willing to pay you for coaching? ? doubtless). This means that the people on your calls tend to be much more highly qualified prospects, and in and of itself, increases the conversion rate on your telecalls.
The next reason why teleseminar attendees convert so well to product purchases is that they get to connect with you live and hear your voice.
This is important, as one of two things happen when they hear your voice: they are either drawn closer to you, or they are repelled ? they draw away from you. And either of those scenarios is actually a good thing (unless of course, too many are repelled, then that is another issue that needs to be rectified).
The reason that the repelling is a good thing is that it gets the people who would not have become long term clients, off your list and out of your system.
And the reason that people being drawn to you is a good thing is of course that they develop more trust. You see, when they hear your voice, and they believe what you say, your credibility goes way up, and trust and credibility are huge factors in selling.
