Handling Eczema Naturally
Timothyjones
Eczema is different from acne. Eczema is a form of dermatitis, or inflammation of the upper layers of the skin. A skin condition that causes areas of the skin to become red, itchy and scaly. The cause is unknown and it can affect any part of the body. A smarting eruption of small pustules, generally crowded together, without fever, and not contagious. Eczema is often triggered by allergens in the air or by foods; 40 percent of children with eczema may have varying degrees of asthma.
Eczema is a very big problem for teenagers because they're the age group that is most prone to their pores becoming clogged. Eczema is a condition in which your skin becomes irritated, red and itchy. Atopic eczema is the most common form and doctors don't know exactly why it shows up in the first place. Sometimes, eczema may lead to blisters and oozing lesions, but eczema can also result in dry and scaly skin. Repeated scratching may lead to thickened, crusty skin.
Milk can be a real culprit of eczema. Switching him to soya products might help. If he is under two it should be soya formula as they need the fat content for brain growth. Try products for bathing that have no soap or perfume. Wash all clothes in Tide Free and Dry with Bounce free in case it is contact eczema. Do not use Baby Shampoo as believe it or not it is stronger than Adult Shampoo as Baby's are constantly changing as well as there Hormones which put oily deposits on the hair and baby shampoo is formulated to remove that.
A few tips to reduce itch:
1) use diprocel cream
2) take Atrax
3) take a flu tablet pill
Another thing you could try that balances your hormones is Evening Primrose Oil capsules. They should help, if only a little bit. The absolute best way to get rid of eczema is through the sun or ultra-violet light therapy. Of course in the cold climate or winter that is not alway feasable.
The allergies becomes severe if you reintroduce the same allergic food again and again but may go away if you remove it from diet for long periods like more than a month.
Healing Natural Products - made from the pure essential oils extracted from plants and applied topically to relieve eczema symptoms and to begin the healing process of repairing the skin.
Corticosteroids - a topical steroid but only available on prescription from your doctor. It is best to use the lowest effective strength as using high strength topical steroids for periods of time can cause side effects such as thinning of the skin.
