Chinese Antiques, China Now: More Glorious, More Rich
Derek Dashwood
To have a plan on where you are going does make it more likely your plans become realized. The state plans beloved by Communist Chinese hearts can look at huge concepts and see future projections made realities year after year. Five year plans come and go, and when the state plans take in the vastly greater industrial power of capitalism from the west, can the east grow ever richer. To understand China is to feel the sense of urgent destiny in each grand gesture and in the style and ways of China to display its new and glorious destiny.
With city states such as Jericho yet to be uncovered in China, going back the ten thousand years as does Jericho to unveil deeper truths of the past. As it is, Damascus in Syria is considered to be the oldest continually inhabited settlement on earth, with Sumeria, Babylon and Egypt all nearby. In China as in the middle east digs into middens reveals older cultures further down, thnese excavations continue with human and animal bones. Most digs in China have only uncovered back five thousand years so far.
But as peoples have inhabited these plains forty thousand years, surely new digs and finds are yet to be uncovered. Most recent DNA samples seems to indicates that modern humans arrived into easter Asia by forty thousand years ago, and continued their migration up eastern Asia and over the land bridge to the Americas around thirty thousand years ago. It had been thought the peoples who went west into Europe had moved over from the Levant, however this view has been proven incorrect: Europe was instead populated by peoples from India and Persia.
With China, there was a direct family connection with those family leaving Africa for India and the south Pacific and Australia. With China, a northern branch of the humanity family tree branch differently in various ways including eyes and skin color. The closer to the equatorial sun the darker the skin needed to be, the farther north the more eyes and skin could lighten to absorb more sunlight. Thus can be seen darker skin Sri Lankans in the south contrast to lighter skin Indians north in Delhi.
As China is farther north than India such contrasts are not so obvious in China. Here the subtle ways are in the land. Vast China is cut in half by the mighty Yangstze River which enters the South China Sea near Shanghai. As this mighty river winds due west into the heart of China and as it is at the natural climate zone to divide crops, we find wheat crops grow north of the Yangtze, rice grows south of the Yangstze. So Shanghai is a gathering place of two different crop growing cultures, and all the other effects that would naturally grow out of that.
Silk plants to weave baskets would be very different than a wheat grass basket, and any other reed plants that are limited to either a cold or hot crop area. What you can learn from all this is shown in the types of plants inscribed onto say Mings and things. Whether you awaken to the celestial wisdom required to have you buy heiroom Chinese antiques today, as a lay away plan for tomorrow that will certainly come. And when your future buyer wants to view your Mings and things, you know the plan. You buy low now before several hundred million Chinese go from new middle class to new rich class. Give it a decade.
A decade from now, all your dusting and enjoying your Chinese antiques will pay off rather handsomely, when your email rings. You must now give special respect to the rich new buyer of her family Mings and things, who wondered where her great grand mothers Mings and things were. And what do you know, but Google says they reside on your mantle, you sly fox. When she arrives, reminded her how deeply your bow of great respect (and high price)your Chinese antiques are. She must take off her shoes.
Proud buyer of your Mings and things will pay too much when she is rich enough and proud enough. You merely smile, give great kowtow, that is great low bow, you smile, enjoy.
