Where Can I Travel In Estonia?
Limotek.co.uk
Although she is the smallest of the Baltic countries, Estonia makes her presence felt in the region with her lovely seaside towns, quaint country villages, verdant forests and marshlands, all of which set the scene for discovering many cultural and natural gems. This is where most tourists are taking a holiday. Estonia is a country in the Baltic region of Northern Europe bordered to the north by Finland across the Gulf of Finland where Estonian is the official language. The best time to travel to Estonia is during April and May when the spring weather is pleasant and welcoming. The summer months are warm and wet. Winter is a freezing season with only a few hours of dismal daylight and snow clogging the streets.
Estonia enjoys an adequate range of acceptable accommodation, left over from the pre-independence days and built by Estonian entrepreneurs, including large hotels and smaller pension-type establishments. These accommodations include bed and breakfast hotels where the rooms are quality and clean. Anything you would expect in a 5 star hotel from private doctors to toilets and bathroom will be provided. Estonia is the best place to get a delicious meal and you will always want to take a meal in one of the famous Italian restaurants. Some of the food includes jellied veal, vinaigrette with herring and beets, braised goose stuffed with apples and plums and Estonian wild mushroom soup. Some of the drinks include Saare beer, mulled wine and Vana Tallinn, a local liqueur that is the best to taste.
Estonia entertainment has got a basketful of popular theatres, nightclubs and casinos. There are a number of nightclubs like the Bon-Bon, Moskva, Amigo, Terrarium and many more for entertaining the people. Most of the sources of Estonia entertainment can be witnessed in the city of Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. Casinos are another source of Estonian entertainment. There are about 72 legal gambling casinos in Estonia. Blackjack and Roulette are two very popular card games in Estonia. Tourists can also engage themselves in a number of other activities like swimming, boating, fishing, hiking and cycling. Thus the people of Estonia have got wide scopes to select entertainment options.
If you like adventures, explore the countryside and see natural forests and bogs, picturesque old fishing villages and historic manor houses in one of Estonia's three national parks ? Lahemaa, Soomaa and Vilsandi. You can also catch a glimpse of wildlife such as lynx, bears, wolves and elk. Watch birds including eagles, storks and a variety of wetland birds at K'ina Bay Bird Reserve and Matsalu Nature Reserve. Swimming from white sandy beaches or in pools and lakes abound in the interior of the country. How about taking a walk to the old street? The winding, cobbled streets of Tallinn's historic centre are the focus for most visitors to the city and a hub of major tourist attractions, which can all be enjoyed on a walking tour. The walled old town is divided into two parts.
Visit the botanical garden that covers 110 hectares and contains more than 8,000 plant species. The flora comes from all around the world, displayed in arboretums, glasshouses, open fields and thematic gardens. In just a few steps, visitors are transported from European meadows to African gardens. Other attractions include Estonian open air museum and Tallinn Zoo. Estonia is a world of joy that all tourist want to experience.
