Welcome to the first article in a series by NightTimeMoisturizers.com. In this first article we will be profiling a very popular skincare moisturizer called an hydroderm.
Sadly, hydroderm contains a compound on our blacklist: Paraben.
At NightTimeMoisturizers.com we have in the past discussed a lot about suspected and dangerous ingredients in skin care products. One of these ingredients is a chemical called paraben. paraben is a preservative product that is used to extend the shelf life of night creams and moisturizers.
Paraben has no other helpful benefit. In fact many studies have shown a strong correlation between parabens and cancer and accelerated skin aging. These studies, however, are not conclusive.
Notice I said correlation not causation. If it had been proved that paraben causes cancer or excessive skin aging it wouldn't be in anything. But, why take any chances. There are many products that contain little if any paraben.
Hydroderm and many other namebrand products contain paraben. Because of this reason by itself we can't recommend this product. However when you visit our site now you will find many great products that do not contain paraben and others that contain very little.
