Your subconscious cuts off all other sounds enabling you to listen to that one single voice that you want to hear. Focusing on that one particular sound or voice your subconscious is actually neglecting all the other voices. This is an instance of automatic execution of the hypnotic state.

Subliminal hypnosis has always been an area of great interest to the commercial world. The potential benefits that can be reaped by these corporations are indescribable. Imagine a situation where through advertisements, these marketing companies can actually persuade the consumers to mould their buying habits to suit these companies? In fact, these companies to plant subliminal messages into the print and broadcast media are spending huge sums of monies.

We do not actually know how effective or powerful subliminal hypnosis is when used in this manner.
