Greg Reid, founder and CEO of Work Smart, Inc., is a Wish Entertainment partner. Wish Entertainment, Inc. produced the movie "Pass It On". Greg is also the author of "The Millionaire Mentor" and "The Millionaire Mentor Corporation".
"Millionaire Mentor" might sound like mentoring for millionaires, but it's actually a nickname given to Greg Reid by the inner city kids he mentors. They started calling him the "Millionaire Mentor" some time ago when he would drive up in his fancy car, and the name stuck with him.
Mentoring others is something Greg has always done. His parents encouraged him to go to college, but he didn't even finish high school. He wanted to jump right into the business world, so after about two years in his first sales job, he sent his W2 home to his parents to prove that he could make $100,000 in a year just by doing what he loved to do.
Greg Reid is the creator of the "Success Equation", which is P T x A(squared) = Success. "P" stands for passion. "T" stands for talent. "A" stands for association. Passion is what you'd be doing each day if money weren't an issue. Talent is your natural ability. Association is who you are with most of the time.
Think about the five people with whom you spend most of your time. If they're wealthy and successful, you probably are, too. If not, there's a pretty good chance you won't be successful either. Association is very important, so seek out successful people in your field, and surround yourself with them.
Abraham Lincoln once said, "People are as happy as they make up their minds to be". Greg Reid took that message to heart. He lives his life as happy as he can, and he shares the happiness wealth through his "Always Good" website.
Mentors can be found everywhere in what Greg calls the reticular activator system. Reticular activator is a fancy way of saying "you notice what's on your mind". Women who are pregnant suddenly feel as if everyone they know is having a baby. Men who play golf notice others who play golf. It's not that everyone enjoys golf, of course. It's just that perhaps you never noticed golfers until you began playing the game yourself.
Make up your mind to do something. When you do, your mentor will appear. If you're willing to be a student, you'll find a teacher. Your mentor doesn't have to come in the form of a person. It could be a book, seminar, CD, or if you're lucky, your next door neighbor. To be a success, surround yourself with successful people.
