Acne outbreaks may not be a debilitating disease, and cannot even be considered as an illness or sickness at all, but it is still a serious matter as the embarrassing skin blemishes could result in self-esteem issues as well as mental and social discomfort. 1. Facial Wash or Cleansers. Facial wash or cleansers could come in the form of liquid cleansers that you use by themselves in cleaning pollutants, irritants, bacteria, and dead skin cells from your face and other acne-prone areas, or creams and gels that are used with water in order to lather your face.

2. Skin Toners. Skin toners tend to come in liquid form, and look similar to cleansers, but their purpose is different. Toners are used to "tone" or condition the skin pores, by removing the last few straggling pollutants as well as the excess cleanser left over from washing. Skin toners also minimize the pores of the skin, which lessens the amount of irritants that can get trapped in them.

3. Women who wear makeup should use makeup that does not irritate the skin as well as invest in a good makeup remover, which should be used instead of just using plain water. Most make ups tend to leave leftover particles in the skin, which could aggravate the pores or even serve as housings for irritants, as dust and dirt could have already attached themselves to the leftover make up.
