There are a lot of ways you can market to the press. This can either be by you building your own list of contacts and building relationships with them. This will then increase the chance that they will help you with your promotion. The problem with this is it can be very time consuming.

For a small fee they will get your story in front of the people that are most likely to pick it up and run with it.

Blogs are a great way to promote your business and your content. However in order to get yourself featured in a blog you will need to build a relationship with a blogger. They will need a reason to promote your content. A great way to do this is to hire them as a consultant. If they have had an input on your content they will be much more likely to promote it.
Social Networking
As with many other things social networks are a great place to promote anything. If you have something interesting to say then people in your network will pass it on to their networks and so on. This will very quickly get your message across. As mentioned in previous articles remember to integrate your social networks properly to save yourself some time. This will help you to be seen in as many places as possible in a short a time as possible.

In my previous email we looked at ways to use viral marketing or word of mouth marketing. This should be something you work on. Ask your friends to start spreading the word to people they know. Also utilise your existing client base. If you have good relationships with your clients then there will be a good chance they will pass things on for. The more people you can get talking about your content the more chance it will be picked up by people you don't know and even journalists and bloggers.
The aim of any marketing campaign should be to get as much coverage as possible. You need to think outside the box and come up with interesting ways to promote your content. If you have followed the testing steps then there is a good chance you will have something that people are interested in hearing. If this is the case then it should be very easy to get people to pass it around. As long as you follow all the steps to creating your newsworthy content and don't rush it through you should be able to build a very high profile for your website and business.
