World of Warcraft or simply WoW, is an online role playing game introduced by Blizzard entertainment. The first set of game, The Burning Crusade, was released on 16th Jan, 2007. It expanded the choice available to the players and updated some more gameplay elements.

The WoW requires the player to pay a subscription either by buying game cards or by using a credit or debit card to pay on regular basis. To enter a game, the player must select a realm that acts as a copy of the game world. The realms or territories are either PvP (player versus player) or PvE (player versus environment). The latter focuses on defeating monsters and completing quests or missions.

Realms are also supported by language which is in-built. Players can move the established characters between realms for a fee. Then the player may either select one of their previously made characters or create a new one. Characters must be chosen from either the factions of Alliance or Horde, but not both. These characters also have their specific races (species).

Once the characters are ready, they can gain skills requiring the player to further enhance the capabilities of that character. Professions such as tailoring, blacksmithing, mining, cooking and first-aid can also be learned by characters.

The WoW play usually involves completing quests that reward the player with experience points, items or in-game money. These quests are linked by a common theme, completing the previous quests triggers to the next one and so on thus forming a quest chain. Quests normally include finding an object difficult to locate, killing the creatures, gathering resources, speaking to NPC's (non-player characters), delivering an item from one place to another.

World of Warcraft uses a special ?rested bonus? system that increases the experience points while the player is away from the game. When a character dies, it becomes a ghost. It can be resurrected by moving from the graveyard to the place where it died.

WoW is 3D representation of the Warcraft universe that players can interact with through their characters. One can change the location according to their preferences. The game also provide added feature of seasonal events that reflects the real world events like Christmas, Halloween, Easter etc.

You can also use your World of Warcraft gold to purchase and repair your weapons and armor. Over the battling course, your armor will become damaged, and the amount of damage depends on the durability. If the durability of the item reaches zero, that item will be no longer in use for you. More powerful the weapons and armor are, more costly it would be. But these are essential later in the game when you proceed to further levels.
