Directory compare tools are used to compare and analyze the contents and subdirectories of two directories. It is used to analyze the changes and modification done in the files, folders or directories. The two directories compared are shown and displayed to the user in side by side but separate grid.

Various displaying filters are used to limit the file listing in both directories.
