TheEHIC covers you for medical treatment within the European Economic Area (EEA).The EEA includes European Union countries plus Iceland,Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.
Howlong is it valid for?
TheEHIC is usually valid for between three and five years for UK nationals and UK residents. The EHIC replaced theold E111 form in 2006.

Howdo I apply for an EHIC?
Thereare three ways you can apply for an EHIC.
