It's a fact of internet marketing, and it well know that successful internet marketers rely on their email list to generate tens of thousands of dollars simply by sending out emails and promoting various affiliate offers and other services.

Everyone knows the importance of building a list, but now comes the difficult part, how do you actually do it?

- You need to find the right auto-responder service to handle your list.

- Once that's done, you need to figure out how to set up an opt-in box onto your site to start collecting email addresses.

- You need to figure out where you're going to put that opt-in box on your site. Sounds simple, but do you want to focus on putting it on a squeeze page or directly onto the sales page?

- From there, you need to set up a sequence of emails to send out to your new subscribers once they've opted in to your list. Not only do you need to figure out the sequence, but also the frequency that you want your emails sent out.

That sounds like an awful lot of work, but in reality, it's an investment in time that is well worth it. Composing the series of emails that you're going to send out can take quite a bit of time and effort on your part, but once completed, the automation of the sequence makes it well worth while.

You will be hitting your customers on a regular basis with valuable information or intriguing offers that may be of interest. They will begin to look forward to your communications because they will learn over time that you are sending them offers or information that is of value to them.
