Quite a lot of us spend time worrying about something that happens in our lives but for many of us however, this period of worry will ultimately come to an end. Unfortunately this doesnt mean that everyone has a worry free life. There are people who spend almost their entire lives worrying and their worries are part of anxiety symptoms in a never ending cycle that can produce an anxiety disorder.
Endless fear, worry and anxiety may be a complicating condition and can have considerable impact in their lives not only mentally but both physically and psychologically. This kind of mental disorder problem is triggered every time the body prepares itself for a battle or fight condition when it intercepts potential danger or disaster. The rush of adrenaline and sudden hormonal changes accelerate the speed of the functioning of the various body parts and organs such as heart and brain, causing a heightened stress level, tension and anxiety.
The physical symptoms that accompany the anxiety disorder include fatigue, headache, dizziness, muscle ache and pains, feeling out of breath, nausea, difficulty swallowing, light headedness, chest pain, fast heartbeat, trembling, sweating and even frequent urination.
Physical symptoms aside, anxiety disorder may manifest itself into psychological disorders that are not only limited to conditions such as insomnia, lack of concentration and focus, excessive irritation, sudden anger, unexplained irritation, phobia, etc; but the extent of complication can be so extensive that it can cause a person to experience anxiety and tension almost around anyone and around the clock.
In most situations, the emotional apprehension of people suffering with anxiety disorder can be significant. It is not uncommon that they constantly have a persistent and chronic fear of everyday problems even though these problems do not even exist in the first place. The fear may evolve into a more severe situation that may interfere with work, relationship, finances, health, school and just any other ordinary activities; or even imagining an illness or death. Due to these anticipatory anxiety associated with the emotional stress felt by the person, the severity of the condition will worsen and consumed by ill and unhealthy thoughts and impulses.
It is therefore imperative that you seek to diagnose the condition with your doctor should you experience anxiety and identified the symptoms described above to determine whether the situation that you are facing is a mental problem or a medical condition. If you have been diagnosed as having an anxiety disorder upon screening and consultation, then the condition must be attended and treated accordingly.
Similar to many mental illnesses, anxiety disorder is more than the mere presence of anxiety, but the severity of anxiety spilling over other areas of life and affecting the way of life and activities. If excessive anxiety or prolonged emotional turmoil is stimulated with little or nothing dangerous or threatening to bring the body into the fight/flight situation, then it is highly likely that the condition be regarded as symptoms of an anxiety disorder.
Before you jump into the conclusion that you are suffering from anxiety disorders, you must first seek consultation and help with a qualified doctor to ensure that the symptoms that you are aware are symptoms of anxiety disorder or another medical condition or just any other physical conditions; and he or she will advise the most appropriate treatment and help for your condition if diagnosed with anxiety disorder.
