Rachel Blake, a fictional character in the web-based alternate reality game The Lost Experience, became a popular source of amusement with Lost aficionados and web surfers alike. Jamie Silberhartz, actress who gave life to the story bound figure, discussed her sentiments regarding her portrayal of the infamous character with BuddyTV.
Silberhartz, a native of Long Island, New York, was involved with theatrical productions prior to her participation on The Lost Experience. She graduated from Emerson College and subsequently got exposed to acting and directing.
The Lost Experience, created by Damon Lidelof and Carleton Cuse, was considered by many as one of the most distinct, multi-platform campaigns in television history. Silberhartz, who played Rachel Blake, endured an extensive three-week audition process before giving life to the famed character. The writers, according to the 24-year old actress, creatively planned the evolution of her character, from Persephone, to Rachel, to the daughter of Alvar.
As an avid fan of Lost, she deemed her Lost experience as something very pleasurable as it gave her the satisfaction to learn the inside scoop.
However, being surrounded by friends and family members who are Lost supporters did not make her job easy as she muted herself not to speak about the game. Overall, she enjoyed her Lost experience and would definitely do it again if possible although the decision would entirely be up to the producers.
At present, she can be seen as a recurring character, Bonnie the FBI receptionist, on the television series Without a Trace, which airs every Sunday 10 PM on ET/PT on CBS.
