Being in the UK, I am amazed at finding European travelers, these people have always amazed me. With little money, and a fondness to travel, they travel, and see a lot more in a year or two, than someone sees in a lifetime. I am sure; you will find travelers all over the world.
It makes me think about how they may have been like an average Joe, in a day job, living that routine, and wanted to experience more out of life. So, they got there backpack and started on a journey. In a way a pilgrimage.
I am not saying we should all sell all our possessions and make our lives into travelers, but it is food for thought. These people have managed to transform themselves and there lives. And we can do so also, in a modest way. We don't have to go to such extremes. The transformation could be to get to an ideal weight, become fit, become wealthy, a success or whatever else it is that you want.
In your heart, you can weave a dream and a vision of who you want to be, what you want to do, and what you want to have. Then you can gradually take actions to make it happen for you. It is an interesting point transformation. The transformation we take when we are young and go on to adulthood where the world literally becomes our oyster.
But, where does that transformation begin? It begins with the decision. And a decision is simply cutting off a choice, and keeping steadfast with your desire to achieve something. Transformation can be as simple as getting up in the morning and going for an hour walk or even looking for a new job in a different field. In fact, it can be anything.
When a decision is made, it is like cutting off the bridges behind you, and actually making a step forward. So many people don't however. Instead they choose the mediocre way because it is easy. There is no need to go against the stream for a while till you find bigger and better currents - new horizons.
The world has a lot to offer us. Without taking those opportunities to transform ourselves, we can find ourselves in a world that looks small. But, as you begin to move in new roads, and start to achieve the things you want to, you will find a life that you always wanted, and was meant to have. The question is will you take it with a decision or stay the same?
