Bathtub Trends In Comfort And Style
Daniel Millions
Trends in bathtubs have recently been shifting more towards relaxation, stress relief, and style rather than the cheap conventional bathtub that lacks all three aspects. As trends continue, more and more options in bathtubs become apparent; so where is one to begin in the search of bathing in luxury?
Luxury Bathtubs: A Look at Air Bath Systems
Bathing in air doesn't sound too luxurious. In fact, it sounds like a great way to get a windburn. But what designers have created with the air bathing system is uniquely soothing to all who experience it- but how do you bathe in air?
The air bath system works on three soothing aspects: heat, air, and water. Air is heated within the bathtub, and then released in the form of bubbles. This creates a very unique warming sensation that acts much like a massage would. This style of bathtub is keen on relaxation, making it great for those with strenuous jobs or stressful lives.
Scenic Views with Garden Bathtubs
The garden bathtub can be one of several things. In the past, bathtubs were commonly placed in gardens by wealthy individuals who showed appreciation for nature. Moreover, the water could be drained onto vegetation to effectively kill two birds with one stone.
But as time waged on, this became less practical as populations grew, and the garden bathtub simply became two things; a bathtub in which overlooks a garden from inside, or a bathtub that has been surrounded by vegetation to create a natural feel.
Whatever the case becomes with garden bathtubs, the idea is to surround one's self with greenery and vegetation. This may not have the soothing effects of air baths, but it allows for more serenity and peaceful relaxation.
Enjoying the Highlife With Jacuzzi Bathtubs
Jacuzzi bathtubs, much like air baths, act much like a Jacuzzi would. But unlike Jacuzzis, the bathtub isn't always filled with water. Furthermore, the option to turn the jets on is optional, making the system both a bathtub and a Jacuzzi.
Jacuzzi bathtubs differ from air baths in the sense that they do not have heated air bubbles. Jacuzzi bathtubs do, however, offer the same massaging and soothing heat benefits that air bathtubs have. Jacuzzi bathtubs also tend to be made for larger audiences- making it possible to bathe several or more people at once.
Expensive Solutions with Walk-In Bathtubs
Walk-in bathtubs are commonly used by the elderly or handicapped, although they are still employed by many to save space. Walk-in bathtubs commonly feature the same massaging and jetted actions that Jacuzzi and air bathtubs provide.
Walk-in bathtubs are typically small in size, allowing for one to two people. They do, however, offer better safety options than other bathtubs- as they are primarily in use by the elderly and disabled.
Final Thoughts on Bathing in Luxury
Conventional bathtubs are fairly cheap as compared to the luxurious options discussed above. But after a long day of work, it's nice to come home to a soothing heated massage. The therapy associated with luxury bathtubs not only reduces stress, but helps the sickly get over the common cold through relaxation.
Be sure to shop around for the best deal in several outlets and online stores, as some of the more expensive solutions can reach thousands of dollars in total price. But as luxury bathtubs are built to last, it is deemed a good investment nonetheless to get your own piece of rest and relaxation by bathing in luxury.
