Opt in page is the first thing your visitors see when they arrive at your website. Imagine yourself owning a sandwich franchise and your opt-in page is the same as your stall decor which is how your customer judges you when they first see your shop. Therefore it is very important for you to have a good opt in page that can attract your visitors to opt-in to your list.
Most people thinks that a good opt-in page is one which has great graphics and good sale copy, but the truth is simple opt-in page actually converts much better than a good looking but complicated one. Below are all the key factors you need to take note when setting up your opt-in page.
1) You need a strong and compelling title to catch the attention of your visitors to stay on to your website by telling them what you can do for them.
2) You need a call to action statement to direct your visitors what to do.
3) You need an opt-in form to collect their names and emails. You can simply paste the code provided by your auto responder service company and it will act as a net to capture your leads for you.
4) You need an anti-spam statement to reassure them that their email will not be sold to anyone. Most people are very wary of spam and therefore they are usually very hesitant toward giving their email address to anyone.
5) You need a clean and short template: the length of your page should be such that your visitor does not have to scroll the page down to see the opt-in form and this can greatly increase the conversion of your opt-in page
6) You may add a FREE e-book or report for your visitors. This free e-book can served as a reward for your visitors to opt-in to your list and it can also provide them with related information on their niche. This may also increase your credibility with them especially if the free report is written by you.
I build my entire opt-in page with these 6 factors in mind and all of them have a conversion rate of at least 70%. Remember that building your list is your number one task in this business as it will determine whether you can become a successful marketer or an average marketer.
