How To Deal With Bereavement
Shanat Kuphur
Bereavement is nothing but a part of life in which he suffers from a state of loss and grief is the reaction which is seen by him at that time. Bereavement mainly refers to the loss of a very close person but it also includes the losses of many other things like loss of employment, wealth, friend, etc? In case if we considered bereavement related to only death of a loved person then the feelings expressed by him will be known as grief.
In other words one can say that a person needs some other person to share his feelings and his emotions and thus bondage develops between them. And when this bondage breaks due to a universal disease known as death then they really can't control their emotions and there this state is known as bereavement grief. They try to understand that the world is still there even without them and now they will have to work without them only. These feelings are again seen when they miss them a lot and especially on the occasions of anniversary, or birthdays or some sort of major function. Grieves are also seen for the reasons like unfulfilled dreams and future.
Grief generally holds three stages in it which can be stated as follows. They need not be in sequence but they may be either first but generalizing it we can give following order. In the first step the person refuses to accept that the dear person is dead or goes into a shock. It may continue for some minutes or for weeks. The second stage tells that the person now thinks as the future without him would be difficult and goes into an acute anguish. And the final stage tells that the person now takes some resolutions that he would continue even without him and won't remember him. Many a time's grief and depression are not combined but a few times a person even gets depressed along with grief. A person who has gone through a little fear of death or a person with previous depression history is more prone to the depression feeling along with grief.
At such times the support of the family and the dear ones is most important. The bereaved person has a strong urge for discussing the deceased one and even gets sad by doing that but in fact by expressing himself he might feel good and relaxed. Not letting him do that will result in his mental pain and weakness. Sometimes the grief can grow to such extend that they feel as if they can see, hear and talk to their dear dead person.
Hypnosis is a therapy which can improve your mental, physical and emotional strength and can enable you to relax and enjoy properly. It may remove a person's grief by telling his subconscious mind that though a person close to you is dead but even then you need to continue normally. And thus you will overcome your grieves and get over the stage of bereavement. You can get started with hypnosis simply by downloading hypnosis MP3 from the net. You need to follow specified instructions and you'll soon find your way back to a normal life.
