By giving the child the answer, the repetitive factor is removed and your child has not learned anything. When the time comes for the child to be tested on the lesson, he will not have the knowledge to earn a passing grade. If your child has difficulty with a certain problem in his homework, you should try to talk him through it slowly, explaining step by step the method needed to solve it. Ask him questions as you explain it to him to make certain that he fully understands what you are saying. Then you should let him find the answer himself.
