The last time such action was taken hundreds of dentists left the NHS and people faced waiting lists to even get on an NHS dentists patients list. There were reports of people queuing for hours whenever a dentist made it known that a new NHS list was being opened.

If you're not actually covered for dental care in any way, you should be aware that to get the treatment you want, when you want it, can cost a great deal of money. Even basic dental care is costly and particularly if you have a family, you don't know what problems are likely to occur at any time.
