This is something any sports fan can enjoy while watching any one of the twenty-five channels of sports programming that Directv has to offer.

There is still more functions that the receiver comes with such as parental control and instant programming search that lets you search out and find a program or movie by simply entering it into the search function by name of the program or even the name of an actor in the show and it instantly apears on the screen with all the relevant information you will need on it to decide if you want to watch it. If you don't need the DVR capacity then there is a Hughes high definition receiver that comes without it. For standard programming you will still be using a Hughes receiver and it will cost you nothing at all because Directv will give you one absolutely free of charge. You can get the DVR powered by TiVo in the standard programming receiver also and it to is loaded with great features and functions. This receiver also has the instant replay in slow motion function. If you are receiving over two-hundred channels of programming you dont have the time to surf through them all to find something to watch so you can set up your own custom menu that displays only your favorite channels when you turn on your TV. Directv has a great introductory programming package that while it is short on price it is not short on programming choices. It will come with a free Hughes Director receiver that is a sturdy and reliable unit that was chosen by Directv for just those atributes. If you upgrade your programming package from there you will exchange out to a Hughes Executive receiver that has a few functions that you will be needing with the added load of channel choices that you will be receiving from Directv. So whatever programming package you choose from Directv, they have the right receiver for you to choose from.
