This year the CHIC fair will take place in China's capital city from the 26th to the 29th of March (the first 2 days are for professionals only, who often plan a travel to Beijing just to visit the fair, but those who have a passion for fashion can visit the fair the last two days), in a huge exhibitory space: in the New China International Exhibition Center over 100,000 m? will be dedicated to the fair, which in 2004 became member of UFI (The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry), and which has become the biggest fashion fair in Asia, taking the second position in the world.

Thanks to the size of the area where the event is held, CHIC can host over 1000 exhibitors and 120,000 visitors a year (lodgings in Beijing are always overcrowded in this period!), who during the fair have the possibility to come into contact with important international brands and to take part in several fashion events (debates, catwalks and so on).

The fair is one of those events that are on the agenda of all fashion professionals, who come to Beijing to discover all the innovations and developments in the fashion field. The fair, indeed, is not only meant to showcase brands, but also to provide all participants (companies, brands, buyers, designers, agents) with important hints, giving them the possibility to improve and to keep pace with the times.

One of the peculiarities of the fair is its internationality, which enables visitors to have a comprehensive view on the items proposed by fashion houses from all over the world. In its 15 editions (the first fair was held in 1993), the event has hosted several exhibitors coming not only from China and other Asian countries (Japan, South Korea, India, Indonesia, Thailand, just to name few of them), but also from Europe(Italy, France, Spain, Germany, UK, Finland and Greece), from United States and Canada. The fair is diversified not only as far as exhibitors? countries is concerned, but also if we give consideration to the type of displayed items. The exhibitory space, indeed, will be divided into several zones, each dedicated to a given field: Men's Business Attire/Business Attire, Casual/ Sporty/ Jeans/ Street Wear, Leather, Infant and Children's Wear/ Maternity Wear, Women's Wear/ Cashmere/ Bridal's Wear/ Formal Wear/ Body and Intimate Wear, Women's Premium Business Attire/ Ladies? Wear/ Young Fashion, Design Lounge, Overseas Exhibitors.
