So you have made the decision to join the ranks of Beginners Marketing online. Some are doing very well at this. Many are making substantial amounts of money online promoting other peoples products, what is known as affiliate marketing. The flip side however is that most struggle and for the most part fail to even get off the ground.

One of the differences between these two groups is a failure to prepare for what is ahead. Below is a check list of sorts so you realize what you are getting yourself into and are not blindsided and completely caught off guard. Look this checklist over. Just knowing about what is ahead can go a long way to making your path successful.

* First off there is a learning curve. Most beginners marketing online accept the fact that they are going to have to study but feel that once they understand the principles that the money will just come rolling in. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Even when you understand marketing theory you still will have to develop, test and adjust your efforts to get profitable results. This takes time.

* You are not going to be able to learn what to do all by yourself. You will need some instruction and direction. Join an online school or course. The small amount of money they cost is well spent and will save you months of time. Time you could be making some bank instead of going in circles.

* You will need to be organized so be ready to set a schedule. Many beginners marketing find the learning enjoyable but drag their feet when it comes to taking action. You will need to schedule time for both and than stick to it. Do what you can without burning yourself out or sacrificing other obligations. Many run a successful online business with as little as one hour a day.

* Always start out using the free or low cost marketing methods. Some beginners marketing read an ebook on something more difficult to master like pay per click advertising and think they are an instant expert, jump in over their head and lose a bunch of money. Nothing is more discouraging than making mistakes that cost money. At least mistakes using the free methods are not financial devastating.

* Keep things simple. Never spread yourself to thin. Concentrate on one thing at a time until you make some headway. Many beginners marketing jump around like kangaroos from one thing to another and never get anything done let alone make any bank. Learn a technique and implement. Try it again and improve on what you did. Writing an article can be used as an example. Just write one than another and so on. If you keep going over the first one trying to get it perfect you will not get anything accomplished.

* Never stop learning. This is an investment in yourself. Try new things, you never know what will work for you. Without beginners marketing and learning, where would we be? New people always come up with new ideas since they are not in a rut and look at things with an open mind. Always think of yourself as an affiliate marketer and continue to improve on your skills.

Again I would suggest joining an affiliate school. Most have an in house affiliate program you can promote. After a couple of sales you will have covered your membership fee and the rest of your learning will only cost you your time. Success to you!
