With get-paid-to programs you can do things like online surveys etc where you do what (filling surveys etc) the provider of such programs want, to earn money, there are reputable companies online you can join and make money though the money from these programs will not be much for most people.
With freelancing you can do a job like writing articles etc for a fee, you'll have to be good with whatever you do to earn money.
With selling of products and services, you can sell as an affiliate, merchant or store owner on the internet. A merchant creates the product/service, while an affiliate and store owner sells for the merchant and earn a percent of the profit on the product/service most of the time, a store owner may also stock inventory for tangible products.
You can make as much as you want on the internet by selling products/services but you'll need to do it right to get the results you want in sales.
Before you can choose a product or service to sell you must first of all select a niche, a niche you know about, you could get the list of revenues earned in different niches and countries in the last year or more from government economic figures and/or niche/industry reports to know which niches are the most profitable.
You'll then need to choose a target group(s) to sell to on the Internet; you'll need to know what your targets want/need in the niche and the problems they have and the solutions to them etc. You'll use this knowledge to choose the right products/services to sell to your targets in the niche. You'll then need to promote your business to make the sale.
Selling products/services online is a lot of work but it pays more in the long run.
You can choose what you want to do now, even as we speak.
