Biofuel Equals Death Of Millions

Biofuel is already killing many, many poor people. So it is not that I am trying to be dramatic. I could not possibly be dramatic enough.

Even in our ?shining city on the hill?, the land of pastures of plenty and amber waves of grain, the homeless, veterans, the disabled, the elderly, and all those living on low fixed incomes are going to have a tough time surviving our new "GREEN" policies, which John McCain, Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama currently support.

World leaders attending the recent Progressive Governance Summit in England heard testimony from experts about the growing global food crisis and the destructive impact of turning food into fuel. People there are moving into corn and you have pasta riots in Italy related to what some people are doing in farming in America."

In even some wealthier countries like Italy there have been food riots. In Haiti, some of the poor have resorted to eating cookies made of mud! The food riots in Haiti have looked more like revolution than just demand for food.

Biofuel is a bad idea that sounds like a good idea and there is no way to make it match up with the realities of the real world so it becomes something positive for either the environment or the economy. Many independent studies from agencies, universities, etc show that ethanol from cellulose (switchgrass, wood chips, crops waste, etc.) will never be cost effective. Affordable biodiesel fuel from algae is a pipe dream that has wasted research money since the 1970s. In addition to the effects on the world food supply, using corn as a source for ethanol takes so much use of other energy sources that it is not even 1/5th as efficient as fossil fuel and instead it is a killer of people and a hazard to the environment.

Scores of scientific studies from respected authorities have demonstrated that results from biofuel generation include torture of wildlife, destruction of the biosphere and faster global warming.

The evidence is so overwhelmingly and severely against biofuel and its horrendous ramifications that no person of good will would ever support it.
