Of course you don't discover that till you are well into it. But then you come to a bit that you don't quite follow, so you go over it again -- and then you realise: the author has just glossed over something, and you are left wondering "but how do I get from here, to there?".
Perhaps they have just forgotten to say, or maybe they have simply assumed you know something that you don't. Either way you are left stranded. So you try to work out what is missing... or what you don't know... the missing link that will join it up and help you take the next step.
Of course some gaps are bigger than others -- with a little foreknowledge or some educated guesswork, you might be able to jump over some of them. But if you are new to the subject then any gap can stop you in your tracks.
Faced with such gaps, and not wanting to give up, you will look for the answers elsewhere, and quite likely you'll end up buying another e-book, or two, to help you solve the problem. But then you find that they don't quite mesh with what you already have, so you end up even more confused!
Instructional e-books on building a top home internet business (or whatever their title is) owe it to you the reader to provide all the steps along the way to the destination they promise.
Yet even courses costing hundreds of dollars seem to have horrible gaps. Either the creator is being careless, or they are not thinking about what they are writing from a learner's point of view.
Or, most heinous of all, they are deliberately withholding information to try to get you to buy another of their e-books!
The Real Solution...
What we need are true step-by-step guides that deliver on their promise by taking you all the way to the destination they advertise. No gaps or dead ends, and no assumptions about what you already know, or skills you already have.
Naturally this type of manual takes much more work to create, more thought on the part of the author to really help you, the reader. But this is exactly the type of resource and help you need to build a successful home internet business.
