A hair style is a very personal thing and celebrity hair style trends often drive a person to visit their stylist for a hair color treatment, cut or both depending on what it is exactly that a person is looking to achieve.

Some stylists recommend a gradual transition from your current look to your desired look, as nothing is worse than a hair style gone wrong. If one makes a gradual transition, at least if there is something about the style that does not work for a person, it is easier to revert to the old style or take the new one in a direction that is more preferred. A celebrity hair style gone wrong, for example, might be the haircut and color that Posh Spice, otherwise known as Victoria Beckham, chose to switch to.

There was nothing gradual about this switch, and should Victoria or anyone for that matter not be satisfied with the drastic switch it would have been near impossible to go back.
