Everthing You Should Know About Tea
Shaun Parker
Tea is one of the most popular beverages in the world. It is drunk all over the world and is a drink that can be enjoyed in both hot climates and cold climates. It is synonymous with an English gentleman. Tea is a drink that is created by pouring hot water on processed tea leaves and twigs of the tea bush. The leaves infuse with the hot water and create a drink which is flavoured by the leaves.
The fragments of tea that are taken from the tea bush are created using a process of heating and drying the plant and then the tea is mixed with other spices and fruits to create a different flavour of tea. Most tea that is drunk in the UK is created from a mixture of types of tea that is placed in a teabag. The teabag helps the tea infuse with the water without leaving the tea leaves in the drink. The teabag can be removed from the cup and the drink does not have bits floating in it. There are four main types of tea that are mixed to create the typical teabag. These are black tea, oolong tea, white tea and green tea. Tea is said to be second only to water in popularity across the world. Tea is popular in all parts of the world and is particularly popular in China, India and the UK.
Tea has a number of properties that make it particularly popular. It is a very refreshing drink that has cooling properties which offer relief in both hot temperatures and cold temperatures. It is also exhibits a slightly bitter flavour. There are very minimal traces of carbohydrates, fat and protein in tea and as a result does not have an enormous nutritional value. The drink does nevertheless provide a number of vitamins and minerals that are not found in many other sources. Tea contains amino acid theanine. It also contains a number of methylxanthines such as caffeine and theobromine and other things such as a number of different types of tannins.
Tea is a drink that is enjoyed all over the world and as a result it has been influenced by many different cultures. The word tea derives from a Chinese word for tea which is denoted by a mandarin symbol but is pronounced 'te' when spoken. Indeed the word char also comes from a mandarin pronunciation of the word 'cha'. Tea is also produced in a wide range of different countries in the world.
Some of the most prominent tea producing countries are China, Japan, India, Taiwan, Korea and Sri Lanka. Tea has been drunk in china for thousands of years and the earliest records date back to the Han Dynasty in the first millennium BC. The early uses for tea in these times were for medicine indeed in china it has been revered as a drink with mythical properties. An early Chinese philosopher described the drink as an important ingredient to the elixir of life. To this day tea remains a revered beverage that is seen to give the drinker a number of qualities and is seen as part of a healthy diet.
