Private Label Rights, often referred to as PLR, are one of the most powerful tools to have in your internet marketing armory. PLR means that you can alter the article/ebook or whatever it is in any way you wish...you could put your name as the author...you can add affiliate links into the content...you can change the content and its structure in any way you want...the possibilites are endless.
So what is PLR good for?
Some of the most widely sought after and highly beneficial formats of PLR is in the form of articles. Typically you will receive 100+ articles written on a variety of niches when you sign up for a PLR membership, and for the price that it costs to join such a site, the value is incredible.
Once you receive your articles you can do with them what you please. A few methods that can be uses including some that I like to employ are as follows:
- Create niche sites
Let's take an example that I received 50 articles relating to cell phones as part of my membership one month. I could take these 50 articles and upload them to a site that I could create around cell phones. Simply insert adsense and affiliate products and the site is all set to potentially be a money-making machine for what might have taken an hour to setup!
- Compile an ebook
This is another great way to use PLR articles. Creating an ebook is very simple, even for an internet beginner. There is also no reason why you couldn't combine this method with the one I've just mentioned to build your subscriber base. Why not upload 20 articles on a website, and use all of the articles to compile an ebook which you can offer on the same website for free or for a fee, whilst building a targeted mailing list.
- Use them as a basis for article marketing
Article marketing is a great way to build links to your site and generate interest in a product or service that you might be promoting. You can use PLR articles for this but I recommend that they are altered first. This does not have be difficult. You could simply alter the wording of an article...add a bit more content...alter the structure of the article...seperate the article into clear sections with sub-headings...etc.
- Use them as part of a newsletter
You may find that articles you receive with your monthly membership may interest readers of your newsletter. You can easily paste an article into your mailing list manager and it's as simple as that!
The great thing about PLR articles is the fact the content is already written, you don't have to do hours of research on a topic that you are unfamiliar with, yet you can still put your name to the article as if you wrote it yourself.
