A Man's Guide To Wedding Planning
E. Walter Smith
As he listens to them talk about logo designs on napkin holders, size of bags for wedding favors, and color coordinating bridal bouquets, it's just natural for many men not to get too emotionally charged over those things.
After listening to hour after hour of wedding planning, he's actually ready to booby-trap the wedding planner's car, but let's keep that to ourselves.
Even when he does share his sentiments about the color and style of tuxedoes that he thinks the men should wear, he soon discovers that it's best for him to just keep quiet.
So, many men come across as "uncaring" when it comes to participating in the wedding planning. That can be just as dangerous as offering too many suggestions that are to be quickly overruled anyway.
So, how do you win? How do you safely suggest things that will make the wedding truly memorable.
One of the easiest and most impactful ways to do it is to select the wedding song. The song that is going to be "your song, "one that is going to bring back memories of that special day every time that it plays on the radio, is actually a decision that you CAN make.
However, there is a trick to it.
The trick is to find just that perfect song and then lead your fiance to notice it. Get a copy of a song like "I Do," currently the most popular wedding song in America and begin playing it around her.
Since fitting all of the pieces of that perfect wedding together are foremost on her mind, she will begin to notice the song. As you romantically sing along, she'll notice even more.
Then, you subtly suggest that "I Do" become "your special song." Since she's already noticed the song, and since every time that you sing it to her, she wells up anyway, she'll love the idea.
If she's really paying attention, she'll give you credit for actually participating in the wedding planning. She may even brag to her mother and friends that you selected the wedding song.
Do you see how simple planning a wedding is? All you need to do is visit: http://www.yourweddingdaymusic.com/ and grab a copy of the song... or if you have her near a computer, just let his listen to a snippet from right on the website.
If you really want to get into it, you can also suggest the perfect father-daughter dance song... "Little Girl" from: http://www.thelittlegirlsong.com Let her listen to that song, or while visiting the future in-laws, let the father hear it. When she's sees the tears in his eyes, she'll know "that's the song." You'll have helped her with another wedding decision.
Wedding planning isn't so hard after all is it? Maybe you should plan the meals too. Nah, let's quit while we're ahead.
